Nice work, I really like the atmosphere it creates. Especially since it is "only" practice.
But there are also a few things that seem strange to me, if you don't mind.
The tree on the cliff could probably use slightly wider roots to support it's weight, maybe let them grow partially over the cliff to show how they were "looking" for solid ground. Right now it looks a little like it is just the trump that was placed there by somebody, not like it had grown there naturally.
Secondly, the way it looks, the water is falling about 10 meters. That would probably create a bigger splash (depending on the size of the river, of course). And the waves generated by that would cover the entire pond. It is a bit strange, that you've got a splash in the background, but the water in front of it is perfectly still and reflects everything like a mirror. Even though waves get weaker as they travel, the pond isn't big enough for that.
I really like the waterfall and the mirror-like water, but as it is right now, it sadly doesn't make sense. You either need something to separate it, to stop the waves, or you have to pass on one of the two.
Well, that is my opinion at least, and I apologize if I sound too nitpicky or something, I just wanted to give you a little advise.
